According to religious beliefs, on this day, Lord Krishna and Radha Rani played Holi, and it is also the day when the deities descended to Earth. They too celebrated this festival. According to the Vedic Panchang, the Panchami Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in Chaitra month will begin on March 18 at 10:09 PM and will conclude on March 20 at 12:36 AM. Therefore, Rang Panchami will be celebrated on March 19, 2025.
Laddu Gopal Shringar Vidhi
Here’s the step-by-step method for adorning Laddu Gopal on Rang Panchami:
1. Wake up early in the morning on Rang Panchami and take a bath.
2. After bathing, offer water to the Sun God (Surya Dev).
3. Clean the temple area and sprinkle Ganga Jal for purification.
4. Place a red cloth on the altar and seat Laddu Gopal.
5. Bathe the idol with panchamrit (a mixture of milk, curd, honey, sugar, and ghee) and Ganga Jal.
6. Dress Laddu Gopal in beautiful clothes.
7. Apply chandan (sandalwood paste) on the idol and adorn it with a peacock feather and a flower garland.
8. Light a lamp and perform the aarti (devotional song).
9. Recite mantras and the Hanuman Chalisa.
10. Offer fruits, sweet rice (kheer), and other offerings.
11. Finally, distribute the prasad among family and friends.
Important Guidelines to Follow
It’s important to note that before preparing the offerings for Laddu Gopal, you should clean yourself and the house. The offerings should not be prepared without cleaning the space. Additionally, make sure not to use plastic utensils for offering the food to Laddu Gopal and avoid wearing black clothes during the prayer. Tulsi leaves should always be included in the prasad plate.
