March 17, 2025 Panchang and Sankashti Chaturthi Rituals for Prosperity and Success
The practice of consulting the Panchang before undertaking important activities has been a part of Sanatan Dharma since ancient times. Today, on March 17, 2025, it is Sankashti Chaturthi, which falls on the Krishna Paksha Chaturthi of the Chaitra month, and it coincides with Monday.
Significance of Sankashti Chaturthi and Rituals
Sankashti Chaturthi is considered an auspicious day to worship Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. Performing Ganpati Puja and Havan on this day, especially by husband and wife together, is believed to bring happiness and harmony in married life. Devotees should chant the mantra “Gan Ganapataye Namah” 11 times and offer oblations after each chant for divine blessings.
To get rid of enemies and obstacles, devotees can offer a betel leaf marked with a Swastika drawn in turmeric to Lord Ganesha. It is believed that this ritual ensures protection from adversaries and removes hurdles from life. Worshipping Lord Ganesha on Sankashti Chaturthi bestows peace, prosperity, and success.
